I'm a highly self-motivated and enthusiastic person with a great appreciation for helping others and trying to find ways to enrich their lives. I have also spent extended periods of time taking care of my brother, who is a type-1 diabetic with severe health issues. I feel ready for a change of pace and to push myself and take on new challenges. I know the need for dedicated carers is great and, as such, I feel determined to find a role as a live-in carer and utilise the transferable skills I have developed from my previous roles to improve the lives of those I’m responsible for assisting. I the cared through the agency for approximately a year and was self employed for a lady in Suffolk who had dementia, was in a wheelchair due to a stroke. She needed help with personal care, hoisting, medicine, I cooked, cleaned and did personal care for 2 years. I am now looking to go back into a live in or out care position ...
