For the last two years I have worked as a carer. The first 4 months I did house calls palliatve care in Leicester, which was great but very rushed. The last year plus I have been a live in carer. A few words about me - for the majority of my adult life I have studied and worked in the US. In that sense, communication in English is not going to be a problem. I like to think that I am organized, enthusiastic, patient and reliable. I am EU citizen (no work authorization issues). I have a car and full license driver’s license.I am very comfortable driving on daily basis. I am not extremely experienced in British cuisine, but I love to cook healthy food. I am well versed in dietary requirements. Relocation and travel will not be an issue. I understand that elderly and handicapped people have basic needs. Beyond those basic needs have need for companionship and connection. I understand that your clients need somebody to be there for them on the good as well as on their bad days. I enjoy creating personal relationships and making a difference people’s lives. Stefan Stoyanov ...

“I have a positive attitude to my work and very devoted to my role. I have found throughout my life that I am good at cheering people up and I would love to have the opportunity to make a difference to someone else’s well being and care. My approach has always been to support people with anything they need and to be discreet, calm and gentle when required.” Experience Key areas of experience: visual impairments, dementia, mental health, stroke, heart failure, I have been involved in care in both professional and personal capacities. Working within a residential home was a very rewarding experience that I had in my professional career and formed very strong connections with the residents. Whilst working in the residential home, I supported individuals living with different conditions. I have always looked to maintain the residents’ independence as much as possible, and this was demonstrated when I helped a lady who had become blind; though I was always on hand to guide and assist the lady, I also allowed her to manage as much of her care herself. I also provided close emotional support for another lady who was living with a mental health condition, as well as providing medication, and also helped an individual with dementia with their personal hygiene. Some of the other areas which I assisted with include but not limited to.  Dressing  Bathing  Toileting  Mobility  Meal preparation  Secretarial / PA Support I also supported my mother-in-law after she experienced a stroke and later developed dementia, and this was of great comfort to my husband. I was on hand to assist with cooking, cleaning and dressing, but was also there as a reassuring companion. I am best described as a kind and helpful person. Though confident and sharp in my abilities as a carer, I am very humble and puts other people first. In my spare time, I enjoys listening to music and watching films, and also have an interest in sewing. I have very strong cooking skills. I like to help others & enjoy my job. ...
