I am writing to apply for your advertised Live In Care position. I have worked as a caregiver since 2018. I have not yet done live in care however, with the experience I have gained along the way I believe I am well prepared to handle the duties required. I am also willing to take part in any training needed to learn new skills. In my current role I am required to attend a range of homes. Sometimes working with the elderly and sometimes with young adults. I have experience providing professional personal care, whilst not making it awkward and maintaining the individuals dignity. I love helping people and being a blessing to those who are most vulnerable. Since 2014 have been caring for my elderly infirm mother and father in law. Since 2016 have been living with them and since 2018 offering full time 24/7 co caring with their son managing a huge variety of physical and mental/emotional challenges. The past 3 years my father in law has been bed ridden and his needs are like a baby/toddler. Nursed my mother in law day and night for several years until she passed away in 2020. My daughter who is now 22 has special needs and mental health challenges all her life and needed a variety of special needs care. These past few years I have realised it's not only a calling but a gift to be able to care for others in a meaningful and compassionate way and would like to continue with this and offer help to others out with my family and make a difference to their lives. ...
