Hi There and thanks for reading. I have been a dedicated Buddhist for 10 years, for the last 2/3 years I have been doing two things only, those are meditation based on the theravada tradition and volunteer work. I have been volunteering as a driver for the buddhist prison chaplain service, living at Forest monasteries where I would help looking after senior monks, duties such as preparing the meal, cleaning, gardening, organising public sittings and taking care of monasteries whenthe monks are away. For example just last week I was in West Sussex and drove two senior monks to visit a man at home dying of cancer as they had no means of travel. Seeing the smile on his face as the two monks chanted for him was amazing. If I dont find care work I will be back to there monastery in July as they need a driver and to help take care of there forest monastery. ...
