I am a 23 year old male who lives in the Chelmsford and Brentwood area. Having passed my NVQ level 2 in health and social care, i am now over half way through my level 3. For the past 3 years I have cared for a gentleman of 37 years of age, who is severely disabled and incapable of any movement or speech. In a team of 21 carers 2 would be on shift at any time of day. Providing full care to the service user including; drug administration through PEG system, manual handling, SOVA training annual first aid training, and chest physiotherapy, suctioning sputum from his lungs, handling private information and providing a way of communication through eye movement.
