I am a 23 year old female with 5 years of experience in the care sector. I am light hearted and fun but know the professional boundaries. I like to work with a person centred approach, I believe this way gives the highest standard of care to each individual. I have experience with challenging behaviours, mental health, dementia, learning disability, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, stroke, MS, MND, colostomy and ileostomy care and Parkinson's. I love to go to new places and meet new people. I have my own car and full drivers licence. I am confident as a lone worker but also as part of a team. I have never done live-in care before but have worked in other settings such as - nursing home, extra care, domiciliary care and supported living. I would love the opportunity to be a live-in carer. I am out going, a peoples person healthy and love adventures. I have a gift with people and although love taking care of people and children have not done so other than 2 years ago I moved in with my father in order to take care of him after he suffered a massive stroke, I prepared his meals, saw to it he took his medication, took him on long walks and played chess with him every day as it was all he still loved and could really do as he lost all communication. I am looking for a new challenge and opportunity, I am dedicated, I am a warm and loving person, my nephew has cerebral palsy and his partner has aphasia, and they also live with me and my aged mother, my understanding of the condition is vast and am able to cope very well with their disabilities. My sister and her family live in the UK and so does my son, I cannot obtain a working Visa without a sponsor, so I am desperately looking for a sponsorship and will do whatever is required.
