I am a zealous individual with an intuitive mind to help others become independent and live life to the fullest. I have specialised in health and social care for approximately three years since my mid-thirties. My essential knowledge and experience within social health care can be found in several regions of terminal, spinal and neurological conditions that stem from; osteoporosis, epilepsy, parkinson disease, vascular and lewy-body dementia, cerebral palsy, cephalic disorder, multiple sclerosis, progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML), and brain tumour. Acknowledging these complex issues have influenced my expertise in challenging behaviour, manic and bipolar mental health issues, as well as enduring the on going support for each of my clients for up to six month placements, in order to greatly support the needs for each client. Respectively I have been able to transition from various clients with little to no periods of leaving the client for up to two to six months with no rest-bite. I have aided certain client’s in ways that are beyond the call of duty as to ensure my client is feeling reassured that I will support their best interest and give them a great outcome for them to build their trust in me. I have attained certificates within the areas of diabetes, epilepsy, dementia care, challenging behaviour, deprivation of liberty safeguarding, mental capacity, depression and further awarded certificates within the last three years. I have always been infused to do care work professionally since one of my relatives experienced a stroke, which caused certain implications to their health and wellbeing. This motivated my desire to professionally do social care work and to give sufficient support to those who need it. I want to enrich people lives with the support they need in a positive way, as I have done when I became a youth mentor. I enjoy uplifting people and being optimistic. I want to ensure that I can understand the needs of others and effectively meet these demands to enable them to have the freedom to choose what they want and when they want to do it. I also support clients freedom of choice, understanding the issues with dementia and other complex conditions such as cerebral palsy and multiple sclerosis, would at times make a client feel as if they have no freedom. Within my position I have used my own initiative followed by the principles and procedures of the company to ensure I give my client’s the best care that possible to give. I have used this opportunity to explore pathways towards training in mental health, especially in bipolar and psychosis with understanding dementia from a clinical perspective so that I can ensure my client is feeling great about their daily life, and not stigmatised. I am a strong advocator for those who feel like they have little to no control over their own autonomy. As I am a pragmatic individual I know I can offer the support to those who are looking for a vibrant individual to trust and support them, every step of the way, I have just completed an nineteen month placement with a client, and have testimonies from previous clients I have work with. ...
