During my career in social care , I have worked in various settings and supported people with mental health issues ,learning disabilities ,addictions and homeless services . For a large part of my career I have supported people who had physical disabilities, mental health issues and learning disabilities in their own home where I would spend overnights ,supporting them to live an independent life by providing personal care, taking them to appointments and supporting the person to social and leisure activities. Some of the people I supported worked or went to college and I would support them with attending here also. I have an SVQ 3 in health and social care and have attended many training courses over the years, including Medication training ,using hoists and other aids ,food and hygiene ,health and safety and first aid to name a few. For the past 13 years i have worked with Glasgow city council social work services however at this stage of my life and career i am looking for a change and new challenge. ...
