As a Support Worker, you will work flexibly across all three homes, providing consistent, compassionate support and helping each individual live a fulfilled and independent life.
The Role
As a Support Worker, you’ll provide person‑centred support to individuals with learning disabilities and autism, helping them to live fulfilling, meaningful lives while promoting independence, choice and wellbeing.
This is a supported living live‑in role where you will work across up to three different houses, providing consistent and person‑centred support to individuals with learning disabilities and autism. Placements are typically no longer than two weeks at a time in one house, offering variety while maintaining continuity of care. You may move between houses and do another 2-week placement, supporting different individuals and teams, while remaining part of a structured and well‑supported service. This model allows you to build meaningful relationships, gain experience across different environments, and deliver high‑quality care while ensuring flexibility for both staff and the people we support.
Your responsibilities will include:

Providing practical and emotional support in line with individual support plans

Encouraging independence and supporting people to develop daily living skills

Supporting individuals with routines, activities and community involvement

Promoting positive communication and using appropriate support strategies

Supporting individuals to manage their emotional well-being and behaviour positively

Maintaining accurate records and working collaboratively with the wider care team

Ensuring care is delivered in a safe, respectful and empowering way at all times

Driving individuals to their day placements or activities

Every interaction matters. Your support will help individuals feel understood, valued and confident, enabling them to live their lives with dignity, choice and greater independence.

Previous experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism is essential for this role, as you will be providing person‑centred support to people with a range of needs. This experience may come from a variety of social care settings and should demonstrate an understanding of positive behaviour support, communication needs and promoting independence. Full training and ongoing support will be provided. What matters most is your willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and a strong commitment to supporting people to live safely, confidently and independently.
