Job Description
We currently have a vacancy for a Female live in enabler within our support team working with an elderly lady living in her own home in Devizes, Wiltshire, the service user has dementia and is in her 90s; she has macular degeneration and is quite frail so will need to be supported to move around the home and use her wheelchair when accessing the community; she is looking for someone who is kind and empathetic to support her to keep her home clean and tidy, assist her to access the community and provide companionship. The lady will need some assistance with personal care, medications and shopping, she has a large and very supportive family. Rota pattern is 4 weeks on/4 weeks off starting 24/10/18. Family provide 14h breaks throughout the week broken into 2-3 short breaks and one full day off, the service user does not like to go out too much or be 'worked too hard' so there is plenty of downtime.

We will be supporting the service user to:
a) Live safely in her own home
b) Plan for a healthy and interesting diet, including shopping for and cooking the meals
c) Pursue her personal hobbies
d) Maintain relationships and develop new ones
e) Go out into the community, visit local towns and engage in group activities

We are looking for enthusiastic, engaging female live in support worker who can deliver reliable, quality care and support to this client as part of the team enabling him to live an active engaged life.

Key Responsibilities:
1.) Supporting the Service User in her own home and attending local activities with her.
2.) Maintaining up to date records of visits.
3.) Attending supervisions with Care Managers
4.) Complete all necessary training and attend any extra (Service User specific) training that the Care Manager deems necessary.
6.) Stay up to date with Policies and Procedures.
7.) Attend team meetings
