New jobs in home care to be created

01/06/2014

A fast-growing home care provider has announced its aims to create more than 10 new jobs every month in 2014.
Caremark, based in Barnsley, has gone from strength to strength since it began in September 2011. Initially providing just a few hundred hours of care every month to vulnerable people, it is now one of the biggest providers in the area, with over a hundred people in its workforce.

With more demand from patients to be cared for in their own homes rather than having to go into residential care, Caremark has undergone rapid expansion and is set to continue to do so.

An accredited framework provider for Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, Caremark also works with private clients. Not only providing care at home for elderly people, the service can also deliver specialised care for adults and children who may have physical or learning disabilities, or mental health issues.

Director Andrew Pearce explains the results of the rapid growth of the company are great news for recruiters as, “to develop the service further we need to employ more people, enabling us to meet the increasing demand for our services.”
Although previous experience in working in care is beneficial it is not essential, as all new recruits must undertake a thorough training programme. Care workers must be dedicated and compassionate individuals who are keen to improve their local community and to provide excellent service.

Clients who use the care service have a great deal of input into their individual care package, and the service that is offered is flexible and centred around the individual needs of each client. Caremark are hoping that with an exceptional team behind them they can continue to grow their service and expand further in the coming year.
