This included assisting with bathing, dressing, toileting, medication, preparation of meals, light household duties, shopping, attending appointments and day trips. I also have a grandson who is now 8 years old, and Down’s Syndrome. I have looked after him in holidays and weekends, a challenging role with great rewards!! I am adaptable, compassionate, patient and understanding, often told I am a good listener. I know how to ensure dignity, and confidentiality and respect is always on my mind when caring for someone more vulnerable than myself.
