I am an enthusiastic person who enjoys working within a team but can use my own initiative to work individually. I enjoy new challenges and like to better and improve my skills regularly. I am a trustworthy person who in previous jobs has been trusted with money, caring for people and maintaining high levels of service within a hotel setting. I have had lots of experience with the general public and have dealt with many difficult situations. In my most recent job I have dealt with challenging behaviour both within a residential setting and within the community. Being a mature woman I have had a varied career. My main time has been spent in the civil service (20 years within the Metropolitan Police Service). More recently I have cared for an elderly couple one of 95 (suffering with dementia)and his wife aged 89. This was in their home where I cooked lunches and provided tea and company. I did this for two years until they both passed last October. During the final stages of their years I became more closely involved with their personal care until hospital was required for the lady and social services placed the gentleman into the care of a local home. I miss them both and helping provide the care they both needed and would like to return to such a role and broaden my horizons. My personal interests involve horses, gardening,theatre and reading. ...
