I am portuguese currently in th UK after having concluded my job in Switzerland as a teacher of portuguese language. I have a bachelor degree in Modern Languages and Literature and I have worked as a teacher for the last 26 years in Portugal and since 2012 in Switzerland. My experience as a caregiver was made at home , for about six years, with my own family. I had to take care of my mother , in her eighties after a stroke. My grand mother ,a lovely old lady with 100 years old and in her end of life with 106 and in these last years, my mother-in-law suffering with Alzheimer. As my professional job in Switzerland is over , I would like to have a career change. ...

Hello, I am Farah I come from a multicultured background, I speak three languages. I am responsible, always positive even on rainy days, motivational, optimistic, humorous, enthusiastic, reliable and compassionate. I have experience in customer service, administration, education and voluntary work. I loved working in these positions because I have to take care of my customers, and students. I am a caring person and I am looking to put that in to better use. I believe in live in carers as it helps develop the connections and support building better understanding and feeling of truly being cared for. I am a fast learner and I am very happy to do the training required as and when needed. I have a full UK licence and access to a car as well as being a UK national. I have good listening skills and am able to show empathy in dealing with others. Am not judgemental and understand the value of confidentiality, trust and loyalty and caring is about people. I love people. I have worked in a care sector with multiple sites, comprising residential, nursing, Learning disability and Dementia units; I have experiences working with the young and elderly people with difference back grounds. Have also worked with people that have a complex needs, learning disability and mental health issues. I have been able to support them to meet their needs in the area of caring and support, both physically, mentally, socially, Emotionally and to improve their wellbeing.
