My name is Pippa and I'm a British citizen who has been residing in beautiful Cape Town, South Africa for the last 17 years. Changing circumstances now means I am looking to expand my caring experience in The UK. I am formerly an addictions and trauma counsellor but that experience has stood me in good stead in terms of understanding that everyone's needs are similar, but people are very different and all need to be treated with as much dignity and respect as possible. I am 56 years of age, I began my care career as a student nurse in the mid 1970's and quickly gained experience across childrens, adults and older people's services. All of my experience is grounded in Learning Disabilities. Although all my skills are readily transferrable to other care groups. I worked through the ranks arriving as a service manager in 2008.
