I have worked in a hospital setting, residential setting, home to home basis and as a live-in carer. I have worked for people with spinal cord injuries. I have worked with at least 4 clients with spinal cord injuries of both gender and have relative good experience in working with spinal cord injured clients. I have also worked with the fragile, elderly and dementia clients in their home providing them with support without compromising on their dignity or independence. As a Live In Carer, I have the experience and the competence to carry out and execute tasks such personal care and bowel management, assistance with medication administration, shopping, attending social events and going to public places, household chores, meal preparation/cooking among other tasks. I have a degree in Bsc Administration and postgraduate certificate in education. I am fluent in English with excellent communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills and a good sense of humour to relate with people of diverse backgrounds. I have undergone various care training programmes on manual handling, mental capacity, food safety, First Aid, Palliative care, bowel management, spinal cord injuries, medication among other training.
