My name is Jan Robinson and I'm currently an assistant head at a school for students with severe and moderate learning difficulties. I want a change now! My organisation is restructuring and I could potentially be offered a redundancy package, but this would not be until December 2016. I have qualified as a hypnotherapist and a psychotherapist recently and I would like to work in an environment which is not target but care driven. My mother is 90 and has recently had a long hospital stay after two bouts of double pneumonia. She is home now but extremely confused and perhaps the transitions have been too much for her. I wish I could spend all my time with her- but financially I am not in that position. I do believe, however, I have an affinity with the elderly- I am a good listener, never patronising and when I am old would want to be treated with dignity, respect and welcome the opportunity for fun. ...

I am living in England for 6 years. Since I came I worked as a carer. Before I came to England I worked as a live in carer in Germany. In England I worked in various care settings, like care and nursing homes, assisting people with learning disabilities, spinal injuries, elderly with dementia and with nursing needs. I completed last year my Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. I am a compassionate, caring person with a lot of patience and capable of working hard and learn fast.
