I have worked as a live-in carer for 5 years and during that time I have worked in many parts of England, caring for both female and male customers as well as couples, of various ages, from 70 to 99 My previous careers were office work and teaching (Secretarial Lecturer), then from 2012 to 2013 I fostered 3 siblings, caring for them for 15 months. However, when they left, I decided that I would like to become a live-in carer/companion to older people, having worked as a receptionist in a Social Services' elderly persons' residential home for four-and-a-half years during my office career, and having very much enjoyed working in such a lovely environment, and getting to know, and becoming very fond of, all the residents.
