I have been working as a support worker for a charity and private clients for over 3 years. I work mainly with adults that have mild to severe learning disabilties from the age of 16 years onwards. My main duties are to provide and enable anyone I support with their day to day duties which include cooking, shopping, personal care, finances etc. I will also take them to varied events and activities either through the use of public transport or by driving them myself. I have access to company cars and private service user cars. I work and have worked in the 1 to 1, 2 to 1, groups and home visit services. With the charity I do annual e-leaning refreshers in subjects such as safe-guarding, health and safety, medicines, dols, driving etc. I also have six monthly supervisions and observations.
