My decision to apply for a care job is as a result of passion, life experience as well as career planning. I always found myself in situations where I needed to take care of children of ill health. I am passionate about easing the pain and comforting. Even the terminally ill deserve to enjoy their life experiences and when they cope better, their loved ones also cope better. I believe this is the role of a good carer. I am not blind to the shortcomings of such a profession including the impact on one's mental and emotional wellbeing being surrounded by pain and suffering of helpless people. I believe the intrinsic rewards of helping so many people and focus on the gifts of such an opportunity. With the experience I have gained working as a child minder in France, care work is a natural next step to advance my career.
