I am currently employed as a support worker/carer, having returned to the caring profession after a long break from nursing, pursuant to the raising of my children. I have fortunately found the transition remarkably natural, the necessary professionalism and principle of care work drawing fluently from my previous experience as a nurse, and all the rigours of discipline and high standards entailed. Not to omit, further, the retained depth and range of emotion and empathy that is so often demanded and cultivated by children young (and old!) Through working for my current employers, these last nineteen months, I have achieved a necessary level of confidence and fluidity of environment that provides - along with my accumulated experience - the means to take my next step in domiciliary care. Taking care of someone may it be your parents, grandparents, relatives or someone who's not related to you is an innate passion.
