I am a highly dedicated and hardworking carer with 11 years experience of supporting and caring for the needy within a personal and professional capacity. I have worked independently, I have worked in a supported living setting, I have worked in a Nursing Home for four years and I have worked in the NHS for three years. My key skills include; effective communication with clients, family members as well as professionals. Over the years I have acquired excellent reporting and recording skills. I have learnt how to stay positive, calm and how to negotiate when dealing with a dilemma. I have acquired effective collaborative practice working with health and social care professionals, doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, speech therapists, paramedics and other carers. I have self management skills and organisational skills, am a good team player when working in a team environment and have the ability to work on my own initiative. Ability to demonstrate an excellent level of resourcefulness when dealing with limited resources. Compliance to all health and safety, safe working regulations, data protection regulations and organisational policies and procedures. I have excellent time management skills and I am able to keep deadlines. I would describe myself as an empathetic person, a good listener and extremely sensitive to the needs of others. I am honest, hardworking, with a friendly and positive disposition. My aim is to make life easier for everyone that I work with. I have my own car, a clean UK drivers licence and I can drive manual and automatic vehicles. I am in possession of a clean PVG for Scotland and I am on the current online DBS update service. My rate covers 07:00 to 22:00 daily. Out of hours calls are charged at £5.00 each. Bank holidays are charged at double time. Travel expenses are payable by the client and will be agreed before booking commences.
