I have been working as a Live-in Carer for the past 10 years, supporting vulnerable adults, during the latter years of life in the comfort of their homes. I have mainly worked in England and once in Scotland but I am happy to work other areas as well. I have supported both male and female individuals, sometimes couples as well. Support and care is necessary for various reasons, that is physical or simply companionship. With my training , level 3 diploma in Adult Care and 10 years of experience I am able to adapt to the needs and support that individuals require. With kindness, patience, empathy, honesty, showing respect and my sense of humour I am able to build good working relationships with the individual and families creating positivity and trust. I always remember to support the individual's wishes as shown in the care plan. Including daily tasks like personal care, food prep, medication administration, I also assist with moving and handling as well as continence care. I have supported individuals who have had Dementia, Parkinson's. Strokes, diabetes, End of life care, heart conditions to name a few. I provide good companionship I enjoy reading and walking as well as sports whether watching or reading about. I will look after pets and am happy to do so if required. ...
