I am 60 years old female and have worked in care and support for many years with different client groups, 10 years ago I decided to run my own business and have a change. But I missed working in care. For several years I worked as a support worker, for older adults with mental health and learning differences. I won a 'support worker of the year' award for the south of England. I devised the induction training package for new starters(staff) and settlement programme for new clients ( I found this particularly rewarding) I have experience with moving and handling, medication, first aid and other relevent courses but most certificates expired. I have nvq 1 and 2 in health and social care. I have level 2 food hygiene cert. I had a DBS check last year. I can drive and have clean licence. I love music (old music) reading, cycling, cooking, the outdoors and crafts. I happy to work long days, nights, casual holiday live in care, or relief/crisis etc ...

Having lived and schooled in South Africa and Spain, returned to the UK and spent almost 16 years as long haul Cabin Crew trainer and Purser before starting a career within the care industry. Over 10 years experience in care including live in care. Current enhanced DBS and clean driving licence. Am currently working for St Helen's council as a personal assistant (since August 2021) which is part time live in care shifts. Prior to this I worked for Home Instead St Helen's branch however switched to live in care due to the time spent on the road. CV not updated to reflect this yet. ...
