I volunteered at Golden Age Elderly Home as a care assistant with over 1 year working experience with vulnerable older patients and I gained several skills including, Communication skills,Compassion and Empathy, Organisation skills, Attention to details, Observation skills,Ability to adapt and cleaning. I was drawn to volunteer as a care assistant because i have always believed in the importance of seeing the person behind the illness and helping them recover and this is totally rewarding for me. I believe I am fit for this role because I am compassionate,calm under pressure and committed to delivering person centred recovery focused care. Am eager to contribute to the multidisciplinary approach the trust is known for. I am keen on improving my knowledge by taking part in relevant trainings that would help me to administer effective and evidence based care to our patients.
