Hello. Iv been a health care assistant for 10 years. Iv worked in residential homes through agencies giving care to dementia patients. Iv spent 6 years looking after a stroke patient, she lost her mental and physical ability, I did everything for her, from care giving to cooking to dealing with GPs and hospital appointments. Emotionally I supported he. Unfortunately she passed away in 2021 due to covid19. By that time I helped her learn how to eat, speak, use her mobile, have conversation with others, physiotherapy in her home to help her left side paralysis. I'm 54 and have life experience. I love giving and my nature is to help others even if that means I have to do more than I'm supposed to do for a person who needs help. I'm a good listener, I have good communication skills and understand empathy and how I should treat others by putting myself in their shoes. I hope this gives you some insight of what my experience has been in caring for others. ...
