My name is Lynette, I am of a medium built and from an Irish and Caribbean background. I have worked in care for approximately six years, working in different areas of care included, care homes, rehabilitation, independent living, private, live-in-care and is currently working as an NHS Mental Health Support Worker. I am very empathetic, dedicated and compassionate with the ability to understand and share others feelings. I have an inbuilt passion for making a positive difference in people's life through care and commitment, understanding, dignity and respect, while maintaining professionalism, respecting boundaries and confidentiality whilst creating a warm and caring environment with empathy and understanding. I am a highly creative, seeking out the natural world as much as possible, Very outgoing but can also appreciate a long silence.- Also 29 years old! I have over 10 years experience in service roles. Recently self-employed positions, teaching yoga and somatic dance. These two modalities have provided me with a strong skill-set for holding space for others, being able to tune into others needs in the moment is essential for this work. I have not worked in a professional care environment although growing up I have spent many years taking care of my father who with not one particular cause, is progressively disabled, and so have gained life experience that i believe fits well to tend to roles of care as it requires patience, presence and a joyfulness maintained. I have experience in using hoist,changing catheter bags,peg feed,changing stoma bag and using a wheel chair. I also looked after people with dementia, stroke,parkinson, alhzemers and people with depression and alcohol. Also administration of medication.,incontinence. I am kind and caring with patience.
