I am a trained occupational therapist presently working and residing in South Africa, but do not want to have to pass exams or registrations to work as an occupational therapist in the UK. Having grown up in Africa caring has always been part of me, from watching my mom and her siblings care for my poorly grandparents I thought me to be a compassionate person from a young age.I am genuinely passionate about delivering the best possible care to those who need it most. For the past four and a half years, l've worked as a palliative care respite sitter in the community, supporting patients and their families during some of the most challenging times in their lives. This role has taught me so much about compassion, dignity, empathy, resilience and the importance of presence.my strong personal resistance integrity,passion and drive to provide the best outcomes for patients have seen it fit to apply for this role.
