Job type: Self-employed/ Live-In Placement Daily Rate: £140 & £40PW Food Allowance 

PLEASE NOTE THIS JOB REQUIRES AN APPLICANT WITH A DRIVING LICENCE AND CAR.

We are looking for a skilled, compassionate and reliable female self-employed live-in carer to provide support within a private home. This role would suit an experienced carer who enjoys building a positive relationship with the person they support while promoting dignity, independence, and well-being.

This placement is with a lovely older lady living with dementia who would benefit from a caring and patient live-in carer to support her with daily routines, provide companionship, and help her continue living safely and comfortably in her own home. To begin with, we are looking for someone who can commit to staying for 2 weeks, with the possibility of this becoming a longer-term role for the right person. 

The right candidate will feel confident supporting the client on outings away from home. The client is also looking for someone with the ability to cook fresh, nutritious meals.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing personal care and daily living support
• Assisting with mobility where required
• Preparing meals and supporting with menu planning and shopping
• Administering or prompting medication where appropriate
• Companionship and emotional support
• Light household duties such as laundry, ironing, tidying, and basic cleaning
• Supporting with appointments or outings 

Requirements

• Previous experience as a live-in carer 
• Self-employed status 
• Clear/fluent English 
• Relevant training or care qualifications 
• DBS (or willingness to obtain one) 
• Valid driving licence and your own car with business insurance  
• Right to work in the UK
