At St Jude’s Care, we’re expanding our Supported Living services in the heart of Yeovil and are looking for a compassionate, proactive Live-In Support Worker to support adults with learning disabilities across three small, homely settings.

This is more than support work — it’s about helping people build confidence, independence and meaningful lives within their local community.

From supporting someone to attend their favourite café or day placement, to helping create calm routines at home, your encouragement and positivity will make every day brighter.

What You’ll Be Doing

💙 Supporting adults with learning disabilities to live independently and confidently
🏡 Helping people with routines, life skills and daily living
🛒 Supporting access to the community — shops, cafés, parks, appointments, leisure activities and day placements
👨‍👩‍👧 Liaising with families and advocates with warmth and professionalism
📝 Supporting care plan and risk assessment reviews to ensure support stays person-centred
😊 Using positive, proactive approaches to reduce anxiety and build confidence
💊 Promoting health and wellbeing and supporting with medication where required
🤝 Working closely with colleagues across all three homes to provide consistent, high-quality support

About You

We’re looking for someone who is caring, calm and passionate about helping others thrive.

✔ Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or autism
✔ A positive, person-centred approach
✔ Confident working independently in a live-in setting
✔ Great communication and teamwork skills
✔ Comfortable supporting across multiple homes
✔ Full UK driving licence required
✔ Right to work in the UK

📍 Based across 3 local homes in the Yeovil area
👥 Supporting adults aged approximately mid-20s to mid-50s
🧩 Supporting neurodivergent adults with unique strengths, goals and routines
📅 Live-in rota patterns with agreed time off — we’ll work with you to find a pattern that works
