Bath Avon, United Kingdom, GBP 630 - 660 per week Supervision, Training, SSP, Pension scheme, Self employed or Employed (PAYE)

Description

Job Description

We currently have a vacancy within our Older Adults team for a live-in female enabler supporting an elderly lady with dementia; there are no challenging behaviours other than occasional frustration, the lady is frail and in need of some practical support and companionship. The family live close by and are very supportive and the accommodation provided to the enabler is very comfortable and welcoming – the enabler will have their own bedroom, lounge and bathroom.

The job would involve light domestic duties, assistance with personal care, preparing meals, welcoming the service user’s guests and companionship. Personal care needs include assisting with showering and washing, dressing, changing pads and toileting however full training will be given and a manager will be available to answer any questions you may have.

This position is in the lovely village of Limpley Stoke, just outside of Bath. It is a peaceful village with a strong community spirit, yet only a 15 drive from Central Bath.

This position is a really special one and we are looking for someone who is kind, caring and ready to take on the important role of keeping this Service User living independently and happily. The Service User responds well to more mature carers who have life experience and stories to share; the service user is a mother and grandmother so a carer who has had children and can relate on this level would be preferable (but not strictly necessary).

This placement is from 22.10.18 - 02.10.18

Key Responsibilities:

1.) Provide daily support and companionship for the service user in her own home.

2.) Maintain up to date records of daily activities.

3.) Attend supervisions with Care Managers to discuss Support Plans and Service User progress.

4.) Complete all necessary training and attend any extra (Service User specific) training that the Care Manager deems necessary.

5.) Stay up to date with company Policies and Procedures.

6.) Liaise and maintain a good relationship with the service user’s family

Blue Sky Enabling provides staff with a supportive working environment that includes enhanced DBS, funded comprehensive on-line and practical training and assessment to recognised qualifications, 1:2:1 monthly professional supervision and appraisal, holiday pay and statutory sick pay.
