Female Live-In Carers - Immediate Opportunities Available

Female Applicants Only - Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010

We are looking for experienced, compassionate and reliable Female Live-In Carers to join our team and support clients to remain safely and independently within their own homes.

We support a wide range of clients with different care and support needs, including:

• Older people
• People living with dementia
• People with learning disabilities
• People requiring support with personal care
• People requiring companionship and day-to-day assistance
• Clients with more complex or long-term support needs

About the Role

As a Live-In Carer, you will live within the client's home for an agreed period and provide personalised support based on their individual needs, choices and routines.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing personal and intimate care
• Supporting with washing, dressing and continence care
• Medication support
• Preparing meals and supporting with nutrition
• Companionship and emotional support
• Supporting clients to access their local community
• Assisting with appointments and activities
• Light household duties
• Promoting independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing
• Maintaining accurate care records
• Following individual care plans and risk assessments

What We Are Looking For

Previous experience working within a care setting is essential.

We are particularly interested in applicants with experience supporting older people, people living with dementia and/or people with learning disabilities.

You should be:

• Caring, compassionate and patient
• Reliable and professional
• Confident working independently
• Able to build positive relationships with clients and their families
• Comfortable providing personal and intimate care
• Able to communicate effectively and maintain accurate records
• Committed to delivering person-centred care

Car drivers are preferred, but this is not essential for all placements.

We have a range of Live-In Care opportunities available and are particularly keen to hear from experienced carers who are available to start work soon.

Female Occupational Requirement

Due to the nature of these particular placements, including the provision of personal and intimate care to female clients and the need to protect their privacy and dignity, being female is an Occupational Requirement for these roles.

This requirement is permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
