MALE LIVE IN CARER – Swindon, Wiltshire 

(Self Employed basis for a private family)

AVAILABLE TO START W/C 10 MAY 2021 PREFERABLY

We are looking for either one Live In Carer who would like to take on a long term placement or two Live In Carers to work a shift pattern mutually acceptable to all parties.  Please specify on your application which you would prefer.

Duties will include:

Providing respectful care and support to a 94 year old man with some mobility issues.  

Providing companionship and emotional support – i.e. chatting over a cup of tea, sharing meals, playing cards or watching favourite TV shows together.

Helping with getting out of bed, washing, showering, dressing and other elements of personal care.

Being on hand at night if assistance is required going to the toilet.

Helping with mobility getting around the house and up/down stairs.

Preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Overseeing medication.

Helping with light housework, laundry, vacuuming and ironing.

Helping with grocery shopping and general errands like picking up prescriptions.

Helping with light gardening duties in a small town garden i.e. growing herbs

Requirements:

A compassionate nature and good communication skills.

One year’s minimum experience required in a care setting or similar role.

A full driving licence and access to a car preferable. 

The right to work in the UK and preferably a current Enhanced DBS.

Benefits:

Upto £100 per day to include all meals, own amenities such as bedroom and lounge with TV and free WiFi.

Travel and mileage expenses if applicable.
