We're looking for a warm, patient and well-spoken female live-in carer to support a lovely lady in her home in Petersfield.

About the client
Our client is an independent-minded lady who values her own space and routine. She has limited eyesight and walks with a frame, and she can be anxious about falling, so she needs someone calm, reassuring and steady by her side. She enjoys company and a good chat, but she also likes time to do her own thing. The right carer will know when to talk and when to give her space. She can sometimes feel low, so a kind, positive and encouraging presence will make a real difference.

The role includes

• Personal care, delivered with dignity and respect
• Preparing all meals and drinks
• Medication support
• Supporting mobility and helping her feel safe moving around the home
• Monitoring a sore on her ankle and reporting any changes to the district nurse or family
• Driving to appointments and shopping trips
• Companionship and social support, with plenty of respect for her independence

What we're looking for

• Female carer, because the role involves intimate personal care
• Excellent spoken English, with a clear, steady speaking voice. Our client has poor eyesight and relies on hearing you clearly.
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Previous live-in or personal care experience
• Experience supporting someone with limited mobility or a fear of falling
• A patient, sensitive and emotionally intelligent approach
• Able to strike the right balance between company and giving space
