Job Description
Berkeley Home Care Winchmore Hill is an award-winning Domiciliary Care Agency. We have a new vacancy for a Live in Carer to care for elderly clients based in North London.
Job Description
To assist in domiciliary care provision in order to provide high quality care and live-in support services to the elderly and those with disabilities living within the community.
Offering 24-hour care, your main duties may include:
- Preparing meals and washing the dishes
- Laundry and ironing
- Running errands
- Completing household chores
- Administering medication or regular prompts
- Support with bathing, dressing and toileting
- Mobility support around the home
- Support getting out and about
- Companionship and emotional support
- Feeding, walking, and caring for a pet
Skills required:
- An awareness of teamwork
- Effective verbal, listen and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- The ability to maintain strict confidentiality in performing duties
- Be compassionate and understanding
- Be flexible, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a variety of settings
- Respect cultural differences
- Full training provided at no cost to you.
- Elderly care experience essential
DAYS/HOURS OF WORK
Live in 24/7, usually 6-8 weeks on, one or two weeks off but can be flexible. Daily break of 2 hours, night support where necessary.
Benefits include full board, stakeholder pension, free training, paid holiday for PAYE
