Bluebird Care Edinburgh are currently looking to recruit Female Live In Care Workers to join our fantastic team of Live In Care professionals for our offices in Edinburgh.

Have you got 3 year’s experience of giving direct care? Whether you have cared for a loved one or have experience within a professional care setting the role of Live In Carer gives immense job satisfaction.

Live In Carers support customers with all aspects of their day to day living, so they can enjoy the best possible quality of life. You will stay in the customer’s home, usually working alone. There will be pre-arranged breaks during periods when the customer does not need your services. This is often during the afternoons.

We provide a competitive and rewarding job package to all of our Live-In Carers:

  • £700 per week
  • Private health care
  • Option to do SVQ 2/3
  • On-going training when required
  • Continued support by our fantastic, friendly office team
  • You will be asked to join or reapply to the PVG scheme (if you are already a member)
  • 4 workshop days training required along with some e-learning
  • You are paid for all training

As a Live In Care Worker you will provide safe, reliable, compassionate care and support to meet the individual needs and wishes of each customer. Each person is unique. You must respect each customers’ choice about how their care and support is given and promote their dignity at all times. You will build positive relationships with the customer, their family or representative and other health and social care professionals. As you will be staying in the customer’s home, you will follow their house rules and be mindful of their need for privacy.

Live In care is both a challenging and rewarding experience. A full list of tasks and a greater understanding of the particular packageswe are recruiting for will be discussed at interview.

When you join us here at Bluebird Care you get a comprehensive mixture of e-learning and in-house workshop training, all your training will be on a fully paid basis. Ongoing support and supervision from your very first day is provided by our Mentor.

This role would suit someone who is a car driver, although not essential.
