Here at Bluebird Care Trafford, we are looking for caring, compassionate and enthusiastic individuals to support our customers, on a live-in basis. 

All of our assignments are based in the Trafford area of Greater Manchester. As a local business operating in our community, we are accessible to both you and our customers, allowing us to provide appropriate and timely support.

Working as a Live in Care Assistant with us, you can expect:

• Rates of £550 to £756 per week depending upon your customers' support needs
• A welcome bonus od £100 following completion of induction and shadow shifts
• A three hour break during the day for you to relax and unwind
• Your own private space/room within the property
• £50 per week subsistence payment to support with food costs
• Company mobile phone and 24/7 on call support

We believe in developing our team members to achieve their potential, so there is ongoing training which starts with a full induction, plus opportunities to undertake RQF qualifications at levels 2 – 5.

There is no ‘typical’ live in care customer, as we deliver a person-centred package of care, tailored to each individual.  But you may expect to undertake duties such as personal care, preparing meals, domestic work, medication, liaising with healthcare professionals, shopping and following/updating care plans.

 You will need to have some kind of experience of caring for others, either paid or unpaid, with a strong degree of empathy and a good understanding for how to meet others’ needs.

Live in care work is a role that requires a certain amount of flexibility; you may work with different customers while we try to make the best match.   Although we aim to try and meet your preferred working patterns, it may depend on which customer you are with and how this fits with our existing team. Currently we have patterns including one, two, three weeks on and a week off, though the optimal pattern would be to work 3 weeks on and a week off.

The commitment and style of live in care certainly isn’t for everyone, but if this is your niche and you have a big heart and professional approach, it can truly be something special where you will feel fulfilled and rewarded.
