Job Description

We currently offer two part-time positions for personal care assistants, working a guaranteed one week per month shift. (live in on shift ) IMPORTANT It is likely you will be called upon to cover sickness holiday and absence that may occur, so these roles will suit somebody who is only looking for part-time work but does have availability to fill gaps in our rota. London based candidates with good knowledge of London will be preferred for this role as a minimum of a three days training /shadowing shifts will require you to come and go over a three day period to gain knowledge of the client’s routines. You will be required to be physically fit to assist a physically disabled young man and have excellent housekeeping skills, which are a crucial part of this role. We are looking for a self-motivated, forward thinking and dynamic dependable carer to work with our expanding team. You must be prepared to be dedicated and committed to the client’s needs. An exceptional standard of domestic competence (around laundry and ironing, for example) will be essential.

Fresh meals will need to be prepared daily so, an enjoyment of cookery and kitchen organisation will be an asset.

A pleasant nature alongside outstanding communication skills will be highly advantageous.

The client is a full-time professional working young man and maintains an immaculate standard of cleanliness and organisation in his home. You will be required to offer intimate personal care and home-running skills. The client is a night owl and can sometimes stay up late. Please ONLY apply if you’re comfortable with this. The client is a full-time power wheelchair user and is seeking carer who is prepared to LIFT him for manual transfers of equipment. One position has a training start date of 27th July 2024, running straight onto a week’s work from Wednesday 31st July. Currently, the handover day is Wednesday. A second position is available, with the same suitability criteria. Training for this second position starts Saturday 10th August 2024, running straight on a week’s full first shift on Wednesday, the 14th of August.
