Job Description

Christian family are looking for a professional, kind and compassionate carer with sympathetic values to provide care for an elderly lady with Alzheimers within their home, supported by the family. This may suit a retired/ex nurse who has some nursing training. 

The role would involve:

1. Assistance with washing and dressing
2. Preparing breakfast and snacks
3. Companionship
4. Doing a bible study/reading, crosswords and reading out loud, etc 
5. Guidance with toileting
6. Able to undertake observations where needed, i.e., blood pressure, pulse, SATs, and record the same and know the meaning of these and when to escalate any concerns.
7. Administer medication
8. Light domestic tasks if needed, e.g., ironing.

Hours:

8:30 am to 12:30 - (4 hours) 4 mornings per week - £15 per hour

To evolve into live-in respite care some weekends/during the week as and when needed. (£120 per day - hours 830am to 7/8 pm - 3 hours off per day)

1. This would suit a compassionate, kind, caring and calm individual with professional care experience.
2. All meals provided and private bedroom if staying for the weekend with 3 hours off.
3. Enhanced DBS, insurance and two professional references needed.

Mum is able to walk independently and get herself to the bathroom; she enjoys conversation and activities that stimulate her mind, so the candidate would be able to organise relevant occupational activities to occupy Mum.
