LIVE-IN COMPANION / HOUSEKEEPER–CARER (Accommodation Included)
Rural Gwent (near Cwmbran), South Wales

We are seeking a kind, practical and reliable individual or couple to provide light support to an older couple living independently on a rural property near Cwmbran.

This is not a full-time nursing role, and there is currently no overnight care requirement or continuous supervision.

Separate accommodation is provided in a private 2-bedroom house located in the same yard as the employers’ home. Accommodation is included; utilities are payable separately.

The role would involve:
• Checking in 2–3 times daily
• General companionship and wellbeing support
• Light household cleaning and tidying
• Running errands and occasional shopping
• Light gardening and outdoor help
• Providing reassurance and an additional local presence

The arrangement may particularly suit a couple — responsibilities can be shared or divided according to experience and availability.

Essential:
• Driver with own transport (rural location)
• DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
• Reliable, organised and practical approach

Desirable:
• Previous caring, nursing or healthcare experience
• Nursing qualifications welcomed but not essential
• Experience supporting older adults
