Job Description

We are urgently looking for dedicated, empathetic, and caring people to join our brilliant family-run team to bring joy to our Clients. No experience is needed as full training will be provided.

Working as a Care Assistant changes the lives of the people in your community daily. We value and respect all of our Care Assistants and we stay in touch with our staff by leading from the front – even our Registered Manager delivers care.

We currently do not provide sponsorship, you are required to have your right to work in the UK to apply for this role.

 

As a professional Carer, you will be staying with your client, providing tailored one-to-one support to enable them to live in their own homes. You will be asked to stay at their house for a 12 hours shift. We have different working patterns - Example 12 hours day shifts or 12 hours night shifts, this will be agreed upon between both parties at the interview.

We know and understand that in order to do your job well and to a high standard, you need to be looked after as taking care of you is just as important to us as taking care of our clients!!

Your hourly pay is £15.00 

 

What we would like...

  • At least 6 months working as a Carer but not necessary as full training will be provided.
  • Managing medical conditions such as dementia, stroke and incontinence
  • Someone with moving and handling experience but again training will be provided.
  • Cooking and light household duties
  • Someone who has a real passion for supporting people in their own home on a 'live-in' basis
  • Someone with a caring nature who has compassion, openness and someone who is honest.
  • To perform any other tasks within reason that the client may reasonably require.
  • To work as required, with individuals on planned programmes of social, emotional non-medical care.
  • The implementation of an agreed pattern of sensitive but effective care conducive to physical, emotional and social needs, so that individuals enjoy a calm and relaxed experience.
  • To monitor and report to your Line Manager any changes in the health and social circumstances of the Client and assist the Manager to assess the needs and review the services provided.
  • Encourage and enable Clients to follow agreed Care Plans.
  • To attend appropriate training as is necessary to carry out the duties of a Live-In Care Giver.
  • To work in accordance with Health and Safety Procedures including the use of protective clothing.
  • To work at all times in accordance with Always There Domiciliary Care [ATD]) aims, values, and policies and procedures.
  • To Promote, respect and uphold the dignity of Clients at all times. Participate in and actively support activities to promote the dignity of Clients, their families and carers
  • To keep individual records, as required.
  • To respond to any emergency situation that arises.
  • To maintain clear, effective and impartial communication.
  • To observe, advise and produce written reports as required.
  • To attend, as required, meetings about individual cases.
  • To be responsible for own Health and Safety.
  • The ability to understand and empathise.

Salary: £15.00 depending on how complex the package is.
