I have worked as a self employed live in carer/ companion for approximately 20 years, assisting both elderly and vulnerable people (male & female) in their own homes in a variety of environments, all over the UK. Whilst working for clients, some of my duties have included light general care, cooking and preparing meals to specific tastes and dietary requirements, driving, appointments and outings, shopping, liaising with health care professionals, family, medication prompting, maintaining the clients interests/ hobbies and ensuring mental and physical stimulation within the clients capabilities.
