I have previously worked in a Respite Care unit for Local Social Services where I was a member of a team providing care to profoundly disabled young people (under 21's) This involved all aspects of care , personal and social to meet the individuals needs. I have also worked as a tutor with teenagers who have come through education with no qualifications (under the YOPS scheme) My younger brother was born disabled with Cerebral Palsy and I have been very involved with him throughout his life I have also been involved with caring for and supporting my aging parents who have now both passed away I am an empathetic person with good communication skills and an appreciation of the needs of others I am a competent cook in the preparation of a variety of nutritious meals I am prepared to work anywhere in the country I am newly retired, single, and with children all having left home I have no dependants. ...
