After almost eight years of working as a domiciliary or live-in carer in the UK, I have moved back to Spain in search of a job as a live-in carer in the UK with a shift pattern that allows me to take my time off in my own country. Several agencies have trained me, and my QCF level 3 in Adult Social Care has already been achieved, plus a CET in Higher Education in Health Care with Health Science through the Open University. I have good cooking and housekeeping skills, experience in moving and handling, and I am hardworking, trustworthy, and able to provide good references. Thanks for your time in considering my application. Yours faithfully, Javier ...

I worked for Helping Hands Care for almost 1 years as a live in carer. I keep myself fit as I love music & dancing – Northern Soul / Disco with fast feet, I’m used to living on my own & have a small circle of friends & we see each other then we can. I like cooking, also done housework for many years, washing & ironing, tidying up, shopping & not over stocking so wasting food. I’ve a clean driving licence, no points & a car! I like to listen to radio (Gold or Greatest Hits Radio). I do mind work in Yorkshire or elsewhere as in Midlands too or to the East side of England but just North of London & equivalent. It may be a bit limited but my Son & Fiancé made me a grand-dad in Mid February & live just out of Colchester (West Burgholt), so don't mind being close there so I can visit a few day before going home. They got married, I attended on Friday 13th October 2023 I’ve also had enhanced CRB’s & DBS’s since 2005 I have 1 on Update system until October 2024 I’m also a planner with 5 years experience! I was ‘House-dad for my son from 4 months, my wife wanted to go back to work & I was the cook, She got cancer in 2008, had 2 operation & had stoma bag for just over 1 year I lost in September 2013 the day my son started his A Levels. I also helped my older sister with her 5 kids. from being 13 years old in 1973 to 1978 . My son has a BS Honours Degree, is an Account & a charted account by next summer, he lives & works 170 miles away. I have worked in Admin, Schools: Admin & Finance & Sports Coaching. I’ve a National Level 2 Qualification. I also studied ‘Fundamentals’ these 2 things got me 2 jobs 1st as a Trainer for a new start-up large warehouse & 2nd working as Cover Supervisor in secondary schools for absent Teachers! My 1st work as Live-in care was in Embleton (Lake District) for 7.5 weeks then 6 days later to Newcastle to cover someone who worked previous Christmas & New Year, so I covered that year. Next I ask to stay in largest county Yorkshire & was given a 97 year old man in Hull, I was with him from 24 January 2022 mainly 6 weeks with and 2 weeks off I brought him a CD with music from 50's - 60's, he loved it & I used it to have time off to go shopping or get him a newspaper, my last time with him was 1st September 2022 some was covering me for 2 weeks, He grabbed my hand & said "please come back" I said it was my plan but Helping Hands said there was no work in Yorkshire, Paid me for my little time off, then sent me a P45 in November 2022. When it come to safeguarding I never forget my client, we cab talk I will listen too, play CD music or watch TV with them, take them anywhere they wish, cafe, Church, Doctors, Hospital. I don't mind doing training again But I do have a Care Certificate with Helping Hands, also the work I did to get that Certificate. ...

I am an experienced career in the health and social care industry with 16 years of working with vulnerable individuals. My experience ranges from spinal injury care, learning disabilities, mental health, as well as just offering companionship.
