Being a mature woman I have had a varied career. My main time has been spent in the civil service (20 years within the Metropolitan Police Service). More recently I have cared for an elderly couple one of 95 (suffering with dementia)and his wife aged 89. This was in their home where I cooked lunches and provided tea and company. I did this for two years until they both passed last October. During the final stages of their years I became more closely involved with their personal care until hospital was required for the lady and social services placed the gentleman into the care of a local home. I miss them both and helping provide the care they both needed and would like to return to such a role and broaden my horizons. My personal interests involve horses, gardening,theatre and reading. ...

I am a Female carer, I have general care experience within the Care Industry and also the Hospitality Industry, I have previous experience. I am looking for work Nationwide, I have City and Guilds from Tuson College Preston Lancs, in Catering, Housekeeping, Public Health and Hygiene. I am British and hold a full British Driving Licence. I am currently a live -in carer based in Grantham Lincs, and for 8 years I managed Lodges in Mozambique. I have over the years 'adopted' Grannies, seeing to their hygiene requirements, cooking, cleaning, taking them on outings, and in general giving love and care, voluntarily. I am well suited to a care position, I am calm, logical, practical, sound, energetic and stable. I nursed my friend for 5/6 years. He had emphasema, asthma hepatitis c. My duties were : cooking,cleaning, making sure he was clean, I had to bathe him many times(he was slightly incontinent. Talking him for walks, talking,listening, tied to bring as much fun and laughter into his life to try my best to keep his mind off his health.
