I first starting as a care worker over 20 years ago & became a registered manager of a residential home looking after the elderly. Planning care packages to meet the needs of the clients and their families to ensure the client’s needs are catered for to a high standard After leaving the care industry I utilised my Health & Social Care qualification and experience by becoming a lecturer at my local college. I then became the Curriculum manager of a team of lecturers delivering qualifications from E3 level to Level 5 Health & Social Care qualifications and Apprenticeship programmes to local health industries & the local hospitals. Every year me & the team managed the Cadet Programme for students to complete a Btec Level 3 qualification whilst working in the hospitals for 2 days & week & progressing onto university ...

To begin with I am twenty two years of age. I was brought up in south west London around Earls court west Brompton area and now currently reside in London Bridge. As a person I am extremely passionate when it comes to aiding others on their own paths in life as I do believe that no man is an Island, and every root to one's inner self needs to be watered by others as well as self. As a child I had to grow very quickly due to how others were behaving around me and sometimes if necessary had to play the adult role to bring peace to situations that may have escalated to far. I am thankful for all that I experienced because it taught me from a young age that I am a problem solver and that I am strong enough to carry others when need be. ...

I have worked in several capacities around care and support work. In my most recent job in Cardiff I worked in a resiential home assisting with personal care as well as aiding the elders to live as fulfilled a life as possible, using the facilities we had available such as sensory machines, pet therapy, the entertainment hired by the company and consistent verbal reassurance and a person centred approach that suits them. Prior to this role I have worked supporting vulnerable adults of numerous abilities. As well as in a coaching rolewith children aged between 8 and 12 and supporting a young boy and his mother in a project aimed to avoid the need for social work intervention. I wish to continue to work in the care and support field as I wish to build on my experience and I get most fulfillment and job satisfaction from getting to know the person beyond the disability. ...
