Administering medication and arranging medical appointments. Serving of meals when required. I am seeking to Persue my dream job as a live in Carer. I currently live on the Isle of Wight and am seeking to relocate. I love to laugh, so there is always a comic relief (or a shoulder to cry on) depending on what is needed at the end of the day. Care is a passion of mine and I find it very rewarding. ...

I have worked in the care industry for around 6 years now, I worked in a nursery looking after young children for nearly 3 years. I choose to leave my job as a nursery nurse as my grandad became very ill and choose to go and look after him, I looked after him for around 6 months. Do this really changed my mind on my career which I then went to work in a care home which I'm still currently at, I don't feel like it's a job I feel like I'm going to my 2nd home! I try to give the best possible care as I can and at the same time promoting independence, this is why I think living with a service user is the right place for me as I will be able to put all my concentration on them and be able to spend quality time with them at the same time as doing everything that requires doing. ...

I have always been interested in all aspects of care and I have derived satisfaction in seeing the positive effects caring/support has on people’s lives To support and engage service users in ordinary living experiences ranging from household tasks such as cleaning and shopping, through education and social activities and respecting service users choice of informed decisions relevant to their needs, I do empower residents to live independently in the community i.e. giving them the opportunity to do things by themselves. I work by putting their needs first and giving them a choice, dignity, independence, fulfillment, privacy, rights and equal opportunities. My interest and experience in care/support work also make this an exciting prospect. ...
