My name is Rebecca Leary and I have recently finished my degree in Social Science (BPS) at Cardiff University, and graduated last week. I currently work 30 hours a week as a Personal Activities Leader at Ashbourne Court Care Home, Andover, and by taking this role, I am essentially responsible for the stimulation of the minds, bodies and souls of our residents. Due to my position I have hands on experience of working with dementia and nursing residents who have differing levels of dependency and capabilities, and adapt myself on a daily basis in a way which best meets their needs and suits their moods at any given time. As well as group activities, I provide 1:1 sessions with residents, so am very comfortable working with a particular individual and meeting their needs and wants. I am a competent cook, and have a full UK driving license which I have held for 3 years, with no points or driving offenses in that time. ...
