I have 7 years experience as a support worker in the UK, firstly two years for a company called Horizon Care working with teenagers from broken homes, who lived in shared houses. Most of the clients had behavioural problems. I worked shifts there making meals, driving them to appointments, school, shopping and general running of the homes. Then I worked for 5 years for the NHS as part of a team looking after learning disabled and autistic men in their purpose built home in Bolton, Lancashire. This was a challenging job working 11 hour shifts, including waking nights.
