I have worked as a live in carer for about 13/14 years. I have experience in caring for people living with dementia/alzheimers as well as othercomplex care needs. I have also looked after adults and children with learning disabilities. I am a very caring person and with listening and communication skills. As I carer I have learnt that communication can be verbal and non-verbal therefore the need to be in constant communication with the client. I believe in person centred care, therefore ensuring that the person/people I'm looking after have their needs met adequately, timely and professionally, but in a manner that is not in invasive.
